I’m back!

If any of you were wondering where I’ve been for the last six months (my last post was from September – wowzers!), I’ve been quite busy taking care of this handsome little fellow: Our son, Aiden, entered the world on … Continue reading

Baby showers galore!

Hey everybody! Long time, no write🙂 Let’s see, what has happened since I last posted?? Oh yeah, I remember…

1. Hubby and I went up to PA to visit his family. His parents threw us a baby shower while we were there!

2. I traveled down to Savannah for my sister’s baby shower!

3. School started – eek!

4. My family came up to Hartsville for my baby shower (thrown by my mom and sister)!

5. Getting ready for baby!!!

All in all, it’s been a busy couple of months since my last post!🙂

While hubby and I were in PA, his parents threw us a HUGE baby shower. His mom sent out lots of invitations and roughly 70 people showed up to help us celebrate our growing family!!!!! And it was awesome! I got to see a lot of his family (that we don’t usually get to see) and meet a lot of new people. The party was such an enormous blessing – we got tons and TONS of Babies R Us giftcards🙂

He’s so excited – we got Steelers and Pirates onesies!

The next celebration was for my sister! I drove down to Savannah by myself – that way, hubby could paint our bedroom while I was wasn’t there to inhale any paint fumes. I made a couple of banners and some cupcakes for the shower. Unfortunately, I don’t have any tutorials on the banners I made – but maybe some day I’ll write one! ;-P Since my sister’s colors for the shower/nursery are green and pink, I altered the Cherry Cheesecake Cupcakes a smidgeon by using different fillings/toppings. For the “green,” I used some fresh key lime juice and zest in the batter, a key lime creme filling, and a key lime slice on top. For the “pink,” I used a raspberry filling and a fresh raspberry on top. Both flavors were a hit! Tamara’s shower so so much fun and turned out absolutely beautiful!!!

Banner #2 – “E is for Ella” onesies for the gifts table

Banner #3 – “Little Lady” for the food table

Due 2 days apart from each other! She’s having a girl and I’m having a boy🙂

School has been in session now for 4 weeks! Wow, time flies! I’m teaching Algebra II and Geometry this year. So far, so good!! I’ll be taking 6 – 7 weeks of maternity leave and I don’t know who my sub will be:-/ I am praying for a math sub, but I’ll probably get an English/Science/History sub…oh well! I’ll just have to work with who I get!!

My baby shower came after the first week of school. We had it at a local coffee shop that hubby and I like to frequent🙂 And boy was it wonderful! The decorations, the favors, the food, the people…I couldn’t have asked for a better shower! My mom and sister really outdid themselves!!!!!

Sister made the cupcakes and banner! Mom arranged the flowers!

I made these! Hubby and I enjoyed reading everyone’s responses🙂

They threw me a beautiful shower! Also, my sister made that pin I’m wearing🙂

Bacon, pimento cheese grits, fresh fruit, and blueberry stratta – YUM!!!!!

Since my second baby shower, hubby and I have been getting the last few things purchased/ready for when baby comes! The nursery is ready (well, as ready as it can be) and we have all of the big (and little) necessary items needed to survive – at least for the first week of his life lol ;-D I even finished packing the hospital bags today! Reality is definitely setting in!!! Although life is going to drastically change, I am SO READY to meet our little guy!

Ahhhh life is good!🙂 I don’t know the next time I’ll be able to post…It’ll probably be after baby boy comes! I hope you all have a fantastic week! Happy crafting,

~ Traci
