Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

Red Lobster – a restaurant well-known for their seafood. But coming in at an incredibly close second (at least in my opinion) is their cheddar bay biscuits.

Warm, cheesy, garlic-y, soft inside, slightly crunchy outside…need I say more? They. are. awesome!

They easily pair with an evening meal (like the Stuffed Pepper Soup I shared with you about two weeks ago) or a morning meal (eggs, bacon/sausage, biscuits – perfect!).

Not only are they delicious, they are insanely easy to whip up!

Ingredients:

– 1 cup buttermilk biscuit mix

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/3 cup milk

– 3 tablespoons melted butter

– pastry brush

– parsley and garlic salt for sprinkling

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium size bowl, mix together the biscuit mix, cheese, garlic powder, and milk. Spoon four mounds of dough onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

After 1o minutes in the oven, brush the biscuits with the melted butter then sprinkle them with garlic salt and parsley. Pop them back in the oven for another 5 minutes.

Now it’s time to gobble these bad boys up!

If for some reason all of the biscuits don’t get eaten (gasp!), you can save them for another meal! Put them in a ziploc bag and place them in your fridge. When you’re ready to eat one, pop it in the microwave for 15 seconds to take the chill off. Then let it bake for a few minutes in a warm oven 🙂

Did you have a nice weekend? I hope so! My parents came up for the weekend and we all enjoyed spending time together. They got to play with and spoil Aiden – their highlight of the weekend 😉

I’m hoping to share with you a Valentine’s Day card with you next week. Maybe by then I’ll have all of my decorations complete – so stay tuned to see!! Happy crafting,

~ Traci
